Herbal Floor Washes
These formulas are drawn from 13th-century women’s herbal traditions—passed through hands that could not speak their power, but could practice it. Made with vinegar, tinctures, essential oils, and purposeful plants, each wash is both a natural surface cleanser and an intentional spiritual tool. In a time when women had little societal power, they claimed sovereignty through the home—using herbs to cleanse, bless, and protect their space. That quiet strength still speaks.

Chinese Wash
Rooted in Southern folk tradition and carried through time by Black and Creole women herbalists, this wash combines Castile soap, lemongrass essential oil, tinctures, and broom bristles—symbolizing spiritual sweeping. Lemon-scented and vinegar-bright, it physically disinfects and spiritually clears doorways, thresholds, and rooms. Historically used for protection, justice, and banishing negative energy while uplifting the spirit.
 
Add 1/4 cup to a regular mop bucket of hot water.
